TUCSON, ARIZONA – I can't say I was not prepared. During the two previous semesters, artificial intelligence had been present in some form, albeit marginal, in papers submitted by my students at the University of Arizona, where I teach. I'd already spoken to them about the judicious and transparent use of AI, but during the last semester, I realized, something had changed.
