When

7 – 8 p.m., Nov. 29, 2023

Have you been wondering what the future of AI is? Has ChatGPT changed the way you study, for better or worse? Will AI technology overtake the professional market, or improve the lives of tomorrow's workers?

If you've wondered any of this in recent semesters, get ready for some answers! The UArizona Artificial Intelligence Working Group and the UA Debate Series have teamed up to bring you a student-led debate on the question: Will AI writing tools help Gen Z in the classroom and workplace? Join us for a spirited debate, ask questions that challenge the panelists, and vote on the winners! A raffle will be held with prizes for attendees.

For faculty and instructors: If you ask students to attend as an assignment for your class, please let Mariana Calvo know the number of students expected to participate so we can plan accordingly. The event will also be live-streamed on Instagram for those who prefer to attend virtually.

The event is a partnership of the UA Debate Series; the Office of the Provost; Research, Innovation and Impact; and the Institute for Computation and Data-Enabled Insight. The debate is free and open to the public.
